HONG KONG – F-Secure announced improvements to its F-Secure Mobile Security featuring new anti-theft capabilities available for Symbian and Windows Mobile phone users. The anti-theft features include remote lock, which can be used to lock the device to protect confidential information quickly and easily with a single SMS message; theft control, which activates when the SIM card is changed by locking the device; and an ultimate safety measure to prevent misuse – remote wipe, which makes it possible to erase all the data on the phone by sending an SMS message.

“Losing the personal and confidential data on a smartphone is a security issue for the phone's owner. By adding the antitheft feature to F-Secure Mobile Security we wanted to provide an easy and fast way to remote lock and wipe a phone in case it is lost or stolen,” said Sam Lee, regional director, F-Secure. “Antitheft is natural addition to our Mobile Security solution, which is already known of its award winning anti-virus and firewall features.”
